Rate my contractor is a growing compilation of homeowner experiences with local contractors. Rate My Contractor members not only enjoy sharing their experiences, but can be confident that they will find a high quality, trustworthy service professional.
Finding the right contractor
Rate My Contractor members have a wide spectrum of reports available. Each report contains:
- Type of job , price consumer paid, and a range of prices and the average rate for similar projects
- Ratings for Contractor Quality, Promptness, Cleanliness, and communication
- Truth of advertising and Warranty
- Homeowner personal assesments and comments
- Before and After pictures for some jobs

Integrity is essential
Rate My Contractor relies on homeowner experiences, therefore reviews cannot be submitted anonymously. Member information is kept strictly confidential (see our privacy policy). Each report is made available to the contractor or company so that they can have the opportunity to correct the complaint before it is posted. Furthermore each member can only report on a specific contractor once every 9 months. Lastly, all reviews are personally inspected by Rate My Contractor, ensuring that we catch irregularities, such as a company reporting on itself. Any irregularities are immediately removed and the company responsible is red flagged for a period of 3 months, so that everyone knows that they tried to cheat the system.
